Nestled on the banks of Lake Blackshear, Georgia Veterans State Park offers visitors a chance to relax in nature and reflect on the sacrifices of military service members. Established in 1946 as a U.S. veterans memorial, this 1,308‑acre state park features a military museum, golf courses, four miles of nature trails, and opportunities for fishing and boating on Lake Blackshear.

Georgia Veterans State Park is also a pick‑up and drop‑off location for several SAM Shortline Excursion Train routes.

Park admission fee discounts are available for veterans and active military with proper identification.
