This is where it all started — the heart and soul of Country’s Barbecue! Opened by Jim Morpeth in 1975, the Mercury Drive location has always been a family joint, where comfort comes before fancy decor. Their barbecue pork, chicken, ribs, and beef are still cooked the old-fashioned way in an open pit over red oak and hickory. 

Tuesday nights are all-you-can-eat BBQ chicken night across their three Columbus spots, and on Fridays and Saturdays, you can tap your toes to live bluegrass music at the original from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. So gather up the whole family, pick a night, and enjoy some down-home barbecue and country cookin’ prepared from scratch.
