RiverCenter Announces 2018-19 Season with Seth Rudetsky

Columbus, GA--June 5, 2018:  RiverCenter will announce its 2018-19 Season on June 21, 7:30 PM with Sirius XM Radio’s Broadway host, Seth Rudetsky performing his acclaimed one-man show, Seth’s Big Fat Broadway Show.

Rudetsky is a highly sought-after conductor/pianist for some of Broadways' biggest shows, including Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera. He is also a Broadway librettist and actor, and has authored multiple books about Broadway shows. Listeners will also recognize him as the host of the Sirius/XM Radio's Broadway show, Seth Speaks.

Seth's Big Fat Broadway Show is a hilarious, one-man tour-de-force, featuring Rudetsky's trademark "deconstructions," in which he uses his amazing audio/video collection to break down brilliant performances from beloved Broadway divas, and mind-boggling ones like a Fiddler On the Roof medley performed by The Osmonds. The award-winning show recently played to a sold-out crowd in London, where it received 5-star reviews and was called, "hysterical," "must-see," and "nothing short of brilliant!"

“We are thrilled that Seth will be joining us to announce our season," said Norman Easterbrook, RiverCenter's Executive Director. "Seth is an icon and a long time fixture in the Broadway Theatre landscape. Audiences in New York and abroad have flocked to his delightfully engaging and fun performances featuring stories, lore and, of course, great music of the Broadway stage. It’s fitting that a consummate professional comes to RiverCenter to introduce the region’s only truly professional theatre series. It will be an exciting evening in which we will have a surprise or two with an exciting announcement of expanded services for our audiences and patrons.  We have something for everyone at RiverCenter this coming season."

Attendance for Seth's Big Fat Broadway Show is by invitation only, with 2017-18 RiverCenter sponsors, donors, subscribers and ticket buyers receiving coveted invitations for the performance. For those who would like to attend the performance, but do not fall into any of these categories, a special membership is being offered for a donation of $50 which, in addition to two tickets for Rudetsky’s performance, will include an invitation to members-only gatherings throughout the season, as well as the season announcement for 2019-20 Season.
