Synovus Park, formerly known as Golden Park, opened in Columbus, Georgia in 1926 along the banks of the Chattahoochee River. The ballpark has undergone several rounds of renovations beginning in 1951, including its most current $50 million project. The stadium, home of the Double-A Columbus Clingstones, was named as part of a partnership with Synovus Bank. The venue features a 5,000-seat stadium and has hosted various events, including softball for the 1996 Summer Olympics, various levels of baseball, professional soccer, concerts and community activities. The complex includes amenities like a playground, walking trails, and picnic areas.
