If you’re looking for stuff to do this weekend, looks like Columbus, GA is the place to be!

Admit it.  It's late on a Friday afternoon and your mind is drifting, wondering what kind of fun there is to get out and do on this perfect Autumn weekend.  Wonder no more because I can assure, with the help of the jammed-packed Event Calendar, there is a gracious plenty to choose from.  In fact, it's one of those weekends where you're going to have to pick and choose...but that's a good problem to have!

Kick it off tonight with a free concert in Uptown Columbus featuring the band, We Got the Beat.  Bring your lawn chair and your buddies and enjoy some music under the stars.  Music starts at 7:00pm, so you've got time to enjoy some dinner at one of the great restaurants along Broadway.  Speaking of Uptown, don't forget tomorrow is the 2nd Annual Foodie Fest in the Rankin Courtyard on Saturday from noon-8:00pm--lots of great food samples, drinks, live music, shopping and fun stuff for kids.

And there's more incredible live music at the Springer Opera House with their production of Rock Legends.  The audience even gets to decide which groovy, classic tunes they'll perform!  If you love country and bluegrass music, the multi-talented Travis Tritt will be at the RiverCenter tonight (Oct. 17) at 8:00pm.  In fact, the RiverCenter is a busy place this weekend because besides Travis Tritt, a couple of unbelievably funny comedians, Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood from Whose Line is it Anyway? will be performing their improvisational show on Saturday night.

Or how about taking the kids to see the production of A Year with Frog and Toad at the Springer?  Just a heads-up, it's the last weekend for this one.  You can also take them to the Greater Columbus Fair for rides, games, great food all weekend long!

Make sure you squeeze in time for the 19th Annual Arts on the River (1100 Block of Broadway) on Saturday from 11:00am-5:00pm and there's another great production at the Liberty Theatre called "Amen Corner."

Whew!  Pace yourself this weekend and enjoy as much of this fun as you can!
