Go All Out for the Columbus Walking Food Tours!
“Where food meets history!”
Now that the weather is getting a bit cooler and Fall is officially here, Columbus throws out the white table cloths on Saturdays for a mix of history, food, and fun with the Columbus Walking Food Tours! Starting October 29th at 11am on Saturdays, join a guide for a walk through Columbus history and culinary delights. This tour will help you understand what has come before in Columbus and what is happening now in what is becoming one of the best culinary scenes in the South. There’s no hospitality like Southern hospitality, and Columbus will do you up right!
Your walk through Uptown Columbus and to five local eateries will give you a great taste of some of the best restaurants anywhere and will place it all in a culinary and historic context. Plus, walking from one restaurant to another will help get you prepared to try even more! Of course, this can be only one part of your weekend. Take in a show at the Springer Opera House where plays and musicals take place on the big stage. Here’s a travel tip - check out the listings for upcoming shows here; then make plans to take in dinner and a show (or a couple) for the whole weekend! Or visit a museum or take in some live music on Broadway. The choices go on and on!
One of the best ways to understand a city and a region is to taste the local food served up by the best of its chefs. Experiencing the art, theater, music, architecture, and history of a place helps you to appreciate the culture even more and topping that off with a “taste of the town” will leave you with a unique Southern experience that you’ll remember for a long time to come! Go all out with a pursuit of great “foodie” experiences and then come back again and again!
