TV Legend and Wildlife Conservationist Coming to Columbus, GA

 

Columbus, GA—2.16.2015:  TV legend Jim Fowler will be at Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center on Saturday, February 28 as a special guest for the 11:00 am and 2:00 pm Birds of Prey Show. 

Jim Fowler has been a member of the “Wild Kingdom” team since the show’s premiere on Jan. 6, 1963.  He is one of the world's best known wildlife conservationists and has presented information about wildlife and wilderness to the American public on television for more than 40 years.

He first served as co-host and later became host of “Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom,” and also hosted “Mutual of Omaha's Spirit of Adventure.” Both programs received many awards including four Emmys. Fowler also was the wildlife correspondent for NBC's Today Show for many years, and he was a regular on the “Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.”

Cost is $5 per person.  Guests will have an opportunity to meet Mr. Fowler after each Birds of Prey program.
