Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens
Keeps on Giving!

Racing for the Arts
Donation Presentation to the Springer Opera House

Columbus, GA--The Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens will present a check to one of our beneficiaries, The Springer Opera House, Saturday evening at the final production of their successful show, Lend Me A Tenor.

The Springer is one of America’s most vibrant professional theatre companies with a popular Mainstage Series, an innovative second-space series called Studio II, a Theatre for Young Audience Series featuring some of this region’s most talented student actors and a national touring program called the Springer Thearicals.  It is also the home of one of the nation’s finest training schools for young actors, the Springer Theatre Academy.

Executive Director Kim Jinks and 2014 Race Director Laura Wickham will be presenting our annual donation to Springer Opera House, the State Theatre of Georgia.

With nearly $3.5 million donated to the arts, The Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens strives to better our community by supporting our six beneficiaries: RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, The Columbus Museum, Ida Cason Callaway Foundation, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Historic Columbus, and Springer Opera House.   We are proud to support the Arts in our community through the proceeds we raised Nov. 1, 2014.
