Columbus, GA--Sept 6, 2016: Columbus’ original historic district will be opening for display eight unique homes as well as 7th Street Provisions restaurant on Saturday, September 17, 2016, from 11a.m. to 3p.m. The cost of the tour will be $30 in advance, $15 for ages 12 and below, $35 on the day of the tour
The purpose of HDPS is to preserve, protect and encourage residency in the district. Proceeds from the event will fund projects that preserve the past and look to the future. Fred Greene, board member of HDPS, says" many tourists and locals visit our neighborhood admiring our beautiful historic homes. This tour gives everyone the opportunity to see inside eight of them.”
