CSO Presents The Piano Men: A Tribute to Billy Joel & Elton John

COLUMBUS, GA, January 26, 2016 - The Columbus Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is pleased to present the Pops concert of the season, The Piano Men: A Tribute to Billy Joel & Elton John, on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts.

The 7:30 p.m. concert will feature musical selections and songs that everyone knows, including: “Rocket Man,” “Just The Way You Are,” TV Theme songs from the 70s, and so much more.

CSO Music Director and Conductor George Del Gobbo had this to say: “What better way is there (in all "Honesty") to celebrate Valentine's Day than this concert with the CSO?  So round up that special "Uptown Girl" or "Rocket Man" and get down to the RiverCenter "Just the Way You Are".  Really…"Don't Go Breakin' My Heart" and don't let your relationship be like a "Candle in the Wind".  I don't want to hear any "Sad Songs".  "Can't You Feel the Love Tonight"?”

Award winning special guest artist, Jim Witter, will entertain the audience with his infectious personality, piano skills, and rich powerful voice.  Jim created the musical concept for the show Piano Men, “a musical journey through the 70’s featuring the songs of Billy Joel and Elton John.”

Cameron Bean, CSO’s Executive Director, said, “Multiple Grammy award-winning and number one hits that make you feel good all performed by your Columbus Symphony Orchestra. This concert is going to be a blast!”

The Piano Men: A Tribute to Billy Joel & Elton John is presented by 103.7 LiteFM, Boomer95.3, GA-Bama The CW, Marriot, Columbus & The Valley, WLTZ, and Litho-Krome.
