A Weekend to Honor the Legacy of Vietnam War Veterans

March 4th Columbus, GA: The National Infantry Museum welcomes community members, museum guests, and Veterans to a weekend honoring the legacy of Vietnam War Veterans. Commemorative activities include a ceremony at the Vietnam Wall, free movie showings and free Vietnam gallery tours, and Vietnam-era objects pulled from the Army collections on limited exhibit. Join us March 28th and 29th to honor the legacy of our nation’s heroes and learn more about the Vietnam War – including the actions of celebrated Fort Benning Veteran, COL Hal Moore.

The National Infantry Museum emphasizes the values that define the Infantry Soldier and the nation they protect: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. It preserves and displays one of the greatest collections of military artifacts in the world, with 190,000 square feet of galleries standing on a 130-acre tract just outside the United States Army Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) at Fort Benning, Georgia. The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center opened in June 2009 and has welcomed over 3.5 million visitors from across the world. The facility is recognized as one of the premier military attractions in the nation by numerous outlets including USA Today and TripAdvisor. In 2011, the museum was awarded the prestigious Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement by the Themed Entertainment Association.
