PINE MOUNTAIN, GA (10/12/2016) – This holiday season Callaway Gardens marks the 25th year of the award-winning Fantasy In Lights® with the addition of a new scene.

“Fantasy In Lights is an amazing holiday celebration,” said William “Bill” R. Doyle, III, president and CEO of Callaway Gardens.  “Last year was my first experience with Fantasy In Lights.  I was so impressed with this event and the connection it has with so many guests year after year.  We are pleased to announce the addition of a new scene named, “Snow Day.”  Investing in Fantasy In Lights was an easy decision, especially to celebrate our 25th year.  I encourage everyone to come out to enjoy Fantasy In Lights and celebrate this great milestone with us.”

In addition, this year guests will have five extra days to enjoy Fantasy In Lights. The show begins Nov. 18, lasts through Jan. 7, 2017, with several specialty nights the prior week including the annual March of Dimes Night Walk (Nov. 12), Bicycle Night (Nov. 13), and Photography Night (Nov. 14).  And, guests can welcome the arrival of 2017 at the Fantasy & Fireworks New Year’s Eve Celebration (Dec. 31).

A Unique Holiday Experience

Imagine traveling through a whimsical Christmas storybook, by Jolly Trolley or personal vehicle, as lights sparkle against the Winter night’s sky to tell the story amid wonderful music.  In addition to the classics, such as Snowflake Valley and Magical Christmas Garden, this year guests will be especially delighted to enjoy “Snow Day,” the newest scene added in celebration of the 25th year of Fantasy In Lights.  Every child in the South looks forward to hearing those two wonderful words and enjoying the fun that comes with them … sledding, hot chocolate, and, of course, building snowmen. Guests will delight in this brand new snowy scene brought to life through lights, animation, and music.

Before or after seeing the show, the Christmas Village, a 22,000-square-foot heated indoor area, is the place to visit with Santa and other holiday characters, relax, and shop.   With a fresh new layout and design, it will be easy to find the perfect gift for anyone on the list.  Specialty and unique gift areas include butterflies, birds, vintage toys, snowmen, collegiate, stained glass, angels, nutcrackers, Nativity, items for the home and even things for your favorite four-legged family member. Of course, guests also will have the opportunity to shop for specialty food items from the Callaway Gardens Country Store®.
