Warm Springs, GA – (March 31, 2014) Officials at Roosevelt’s Little White House State Historic Site have announced plans for the annual Commemorative Ceremony honoring President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Saturday, April 12, 2014 will mark 69 years since the President’s passing at Little White House in Warm Springs.
According to Brian Roslund, President of the non-profit Friends of FDR’s Little White House, “Nina Roosevelt Gibson, Granddaughter of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt will be serving as keynote speaker for this year’s ceremony. The historic site is offering free admission until noon and we invite the community to join us for the program.”
The program begins April 12, 2014 at 11 A.M. EST. and includes music from the Ft. Benning Infantry Center Band and a United States Marine Corps color guard.
Roosevelt's Little White House State Historic Site, located in Warm Springs, Georgia is operated by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and open 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. EST daily. For more information visit; www.gastateparks.org/littlewhitehouse.
