Please join us for a free learning experience at the Columbus Museum. Three distinguished artists, William Beckman, Dawn Black, and Dennis Harper, will delve into concepts of realism while sharing their experiences as contemporary realists. Explore fine art though the various lenses of realism as you discover the inspiration and motivation behind each artist’s collection of works.

The program begins at 6:00 P.M. with a panel discussion moderated by the Museum’s Director of Collections and Exhibitions, Kristen Miller Zohn and will conclude with a reception. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view the exhibition, William Beckman: Drawings, 1967-2013 before its closing date, September 7.

The Columbus Museum is one of the largest museums in the Southeast and is unique for its dual concentration on American art and regional history. While carrying forth its mission to bring American art and history to life for the communities of the Chattahoochee Valley, the Museum serves as a hub of community learning and enjoyment. Through an educational approach, the Museum strives to ignite creativity, inspire critical thinking, and spark conversation.
