No doubt the holidays are officially upon us and that means spending time with family and friends enjoying this season. Spending lots of time together is great...until you've all been under the same roof long enough and you need to get out of the house and have some fun! Just because it's the weekend before Christmas, not to worry...there's still lots of things to get out and do.
Head to the Springer Opera House to catch the final performances of Annie on the Main Stage and A Tuna Christmas in Foley Hall. I saw "Tuna" last weekend for the umpteenth time and it gets funnier every time I see it. If you haven't witnessed two grown men playing 20 or so different characters...in full get-up...you need to treat yourself and go!
At the IMAX Theatre at Patriot Park (National Infantry Museum), they are having a Polar Express Pajama Party...I'll bet that movie is incredible on that big screen! Or you can take a really short roadtrip and head to LaGrange for Christmas Holidays at Hills & Dales or maybe start a new family tradition by making the Holiday Hayride with Santa at Roosevelt State Park in Pine Mountain something you look forward to every year.
Whatever you do this holiday time, be merry but safe!
