“Nature Angled” Art Exhibit now Open at Callaway Gardens

See Nature Artists’ Perspective in Photography, Paint, Glass, and Paper

PINE MOUNTAIN, GA (2/27/2015) – Guests are invited to visit Callaway Gardens to visit a new traveling visual arts exhibit entitled “Nature Angled.”

Through late July, guests can enjoy the works from eight artists who interpret nature through their art forms including glass, paint, photography and three-dimensional paper.

The Bright Ring Foundation is a non-profit organization made up of many talented individuals who volunteer their time and energy to help artists and craftsmen.  The Foundation’s mission is to offer education and tools needed to enhance earning potential, identifying both traditional and non-traditional income sources for the artists and to educate the public about the value of arts and crafts in our culture.  Artists are chosen not only for their artistic ability but also for their interest in gaining exposure for their art.  “Nature Angled” is the fourth traveling exhibition created and curated by the Bright Ring Foundation. The exhibitions are hosted by museums around the country.

The eight Georgia artists featured in this exhibit include:

David Bell, Photographer
Reginald Erawok, Photographer
Barbara Johns, Photographer
Richard Levy, Photographer
Hung Nyugen, Glass Artist (apprenticed under Hans Godo Frabel)
Errol Tomlinson, Painter (acrylics, pen and ink)
Karl Warden, Photographer
Mona Waterhouse, Paper Artist

A variety of artwork can be purchased through the Callaway Discovery Gift Shop.

The exhibit is open through June at the Callaway Discovery Center daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (until 6 p.m. beginning March 21).

Callaway Gardens is in Pine Mountain, Ga., 60 minutes southwest of Atlanta and 30 minutes north of Columbus.  For additional information, visit http://www.callawaygardens.com or call 1.800.463.6990.
