Surf’s up at Robin Lake Beach for the Fifth Annual Nautique USA National Wake Surf Championship August 17-20, 2017

The best pro and amateur wake surf athletes in the world will catch waves behind the “game changing” Nautique boats with their innovative surf system creating the best wake surfing waves in the industry. The Nautique 2017 USA National Wake Surf Championship, with a total pro cash purse of $35,000, is the culminating World Series of Wake Surfing event in the United States leading up to the 2017 World Wake Surfing Championship. The World Series of Wake Surfing is a global qualifying series of wake surfing events.  The World Series event sites have exploded in the past five years and now there are more than 20 events in 10 countries.

On Saturday, August 19, the inaugural Rock the Wake™, the worlds’ first mash-up wake event that combines the top pro wakeboarders with the top pro wake surfers, will be the featured event.  For the first time ever, wakeboarders and wake surfers till compete in blended teams of four-on-four for a prize purse of $20,000. In addition to the event, there will be many vendors and activities at the event site, which happens to be on Robin Lake Beach at Callaway Gardens.  Activities will include inflatable structures, rock climbing, face painting, rentals for kayaks and stand up paddle boards, and tons of giveaways.  Saturday evening will include a special lineup of music, Rock the Wake™ awards and fireworks.

“History will be made at Callaway Gardens,” state Rock the Wake™ Executive Director Scott Culp.  “Never before has a crossover event like this taken place anywhere in the world.  We’re excited to have the pros come out and show everyone a great time.”
