RIVERCENTER PRESENTS CLASSIC ALBUMS LIVE: CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL

Columbus, GA—RiverCenter presents the second of the season’s Classic Albums Live series with Creedence Clearwater Revival on Thursday, February 1 at 7:30 p.m.

Classic Albums Live brings together some of the country’s finest musicians to re-create on stage the exact sounds of the greatest albums of the 60s and 70s. Musicians are chosen according to their sound and their fit into a particular niche, be it Pink Floyd, Creedence Clearwater Revival or Led Zeppelin. “The album might require a sitar player, a children’s choir, a string quartet or someone to ring the alarm clock,” said Craig Martin, founder and music director of Classic Albums Live. “Whatever it takes, the musicians treat these revered albums like a score—the way a symphony orchestra treats Mozart.”

One of America’s most popular bands, Creedence Clearwater Revival is known for a big collection of instantly recognizable, toe-tapping songs. Classic Albums Live will honor the legacy of CCR by performing an exact replication of the Chronicles album—note for note and cut for cut—followed by a second set of CCR’s greatest hits.

Classic Albums Live: Creedence Clearwater Revival is part of the Synovus Center Stage series.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at RiverCenter’s box office Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m., by phone at 706-256-3612, and online at www.rivercenter.org.
