MUSEUM DAY LIVE!
Columbus, GA--September 19, 2017: Historic Columbus’s Walker-Peters-Langdon House is participating in the Smithsonian magazine’s Museum Day Live on Saturday, September 23, 2017 At 10:00am - 2:00pm. The Walker-Peters-Langdon House c.1828 is the oldest house in Columbus, Georgia. Located in the Columbus Historic District, tours offer an insight into Columbus' founding and heritage. Tour includes the house museum, period garden, and urban slave cabin.
Museum Day Live! is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian magazine. Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket. The Museum Day Live! ticket provides free admission for two people.
Historic Columbus is offering FREE tours of the house and grounds, as well as FREE children's activities (Church Dolls, Architectural Drawings, and Butter Making) will be offered between 10:00 am - 2:00 pm!
