Tai Chi has been reported by The Johns Hopkins Medical Letter to relieve stress, improve balance and prevent falls, enhance the quality of sleep, reduce arthritis and back pain, lower blood pressure, and boost immune and cardiovascular function. Topics to be covered include: learning the Yang style Very Elementary Set, 8 Brocades Qigong, fall prevention, an overview of Dr. Lam's approach to backpain, and learning to perceive and enjoy the internal flow of chi energy. Cost is $72 for the 8 week course. This class is free to current and former patients of the Amos Cancer Center.
