Lift Every Voice: African Americans in Civil War Navies

Each year, Black History Month highlights the contributions of African Americans to United States history. Created in 1926 by historian and scholar Carter G. Woodson, it continues to serve as a month-long moment of reflection on the impact African Americans have had on academia, entertainment, sports, science, politics, and art. The National Civil War Naval Museum in Columbus, Georgia is proud to take part in this celebration. Although the museum, highlights these important contributions daily, they will commemorate Black History Month with a special guided tour and program, "Lift Every Voice: African Americans in Civil War Navies”.

The event will feature artists Zoran Dukic, Jason Vieaux, Andrew Zohn and Isaac Bustos. -------- The CSU Guitar Symposium is an annual event bringing together guitarists from around the world for education and artistic stimulation. This program includes Giuliani's Grand Overture, Bach's Prelude, Fugue, Allegro, and more.
