Count Your Blessings

(Events, Arts, History, The Good Guy File) Permanent link

We really should count our blessings that we are able to call such a wonderful city home. Columbus, GA has changed a lot over the past 10 years...and change has been great for us. I hear so many people lamenting the fact that we don't have a beach, or we don't have an amusement park, and go on and on about what Columbus doesn't have. But what about what we do have? What about the RiverWalk? The new Skate Park at South Commons? The National Infantry Museum? The Springer Opera House, the State Theatre of Georgia? Port Columbus? All of the local organizations that offer new things to do and ways to meet people, like the Columbus Roadrunners or the Rivertown Adventure Club, just to name a few. With all of our rich history, an environment that is extremely conducive to raising a family, and some of the friendliest people I know, natives should be proud to call Columbus home.
