I can't say it enough...it's good to be home. I always daydream about getting out of town or going on vacation, but I have to admit, I am always so glad to be back home in Columbus, GA. I spent the last two days in Birmingham, AL for work. I had a great time...the food was good, the shopping was excellent, the Southern Women's show was busy and people seemed really interested in Columbus, but the traffic was horrible! It took me 45 minutes to go 2 miles! It was so frustrating! I think my absolute least favorite thing to do is sit and wait in traffic. I would rather go completely out of my way than sit...at least that way I am moving. So in the midst of my major frustration, I realized how lucky I am to live in Columbus, where traffic is really not that bad. Sure, I may get annoyed when it takes me 5 minutes to get down 2nd avenue at 5:30, but believe me that is nothing compared to Birmingham or Atlanta. Next time it takes me a few minutes longer to get wherever it is I'm going, I'm going to take a few deep breaths and thank my lucky stars that I live in Columbus, GA.
