Picture this...a banana split dish, but instead of ice cream, a split hot dog bun, topped with a sliced hot dog, Lieutenant's famous chili, pickles, oyster crackers, and if you're like me, some diced onions and cheese. Is your mouth watering yet? This, my friend, is one of my favorite meals of all time...the Dinglewood scrambled dog. I promise you, there is nothing better. I don't know if it's the scrambled dog itself or the vanilla fountain coke or the atmosphere of eating in an old pharmacy at the counter sitting on red vinyl stools. And you are guaranteed to run into at least five people you know when you go for lunch on a weekday. If you are a Columbus native and haven't experienced a Dinglewood scrambled dog...shame on you. If you are a visitor, make sure you stop in, grab a counter stool, say hello to Lieutenant, and get your mouth ready for a delicious treat.
